Effective from 1st April 2024, Mario Colabuono resigned his co-option from the Board following a three month notice period. AFC Rushden & Diamonds wish to put on record their thanks to Mario for his dedication to the role over the past eighteen months. Whilst stepping back from Board duties, Mario will continue to volunteer his time, knowledge and experience to supporting duties within the Financial Team as well as administering the Team Building Lottery.
Club Chairman commented “Since the EGM and mid season elections in 2023 Mario has been an integral part in ensuring the Club continues and has been instrumental in delivering our target of breaking even or better over this financial year. Recruiting volunteers for the Financial Team continues to be tough and as such Mario has managed a huge workload to an impeccable standard. His guidance has been a huge support to the Club and I thank him for his efforts.”
At the most recent Board Meeting on 28th March 2024 a decision was ratified to appoint Brett Abbott to the role of Treasurer on an interim basis until such a time as a long term replacement is recruited.
