Given the ongoing lack of matches played in 2014, it has been decided to defer the January 2014 player of the month poll, and run a combined January and February poll at the conclusion of the February fixtures.
With the first five months of the season seeing the poll applying to between six and nine games, there may be as few as five games for this combined poll, although this is thought preferable to a poll for just the two games in January.
In in similar fashion, the UCL have announced in their monthly newsletter that they too are deferring their January awards.
