Michael Rankine joined RDFC in the summer of 2006 and spent 3 full seasons with the Club.
The definition of a battering ram centre forward, Ranks was all action, but he was more than that, he knew where the goals were.
In his 145 RDFC appearances he hit 40 goals, which put him 10th on the all-time list.
Highlights include a brilliant double against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup, & the unforgettable equaliser away at Aldershot Town in the dying seconds of the Setanta Shield final, sparking wild scenes!
