On Saturday 22nd August at Rushden Athletic club (Upstairs) there will be a gig as part of an evening to raise funds for a former AFC R&D Youth player, Sam.
Sam is a 15 year old local boy who has been quite ill for a little while now with Wilsons Disease. This is a very rare disease that affects the liver and makes it hard for the body to remove copper out of the body. This disease has left Sam, who was a young thriving lad that played for us, and had a zest for life, very poorly. He can no longer walk, and is fed through a tube in his cheek. He needs alterations to his home which will give him a better quality of life, and we are more than willing to help raise the money needed to help Sam and his needs. On the evening there will also be a dance act, a Peter Kay tribute and Disco as well.
There will also be a raffle too.
The cost of entry will be £5 which will solely go to help Sam.
Please come and help be a part of it. It’s guaranteed you will have a great time.
If for any reason you can’t make it this Saturday but would like to lend your support through giving the admission price, please email mark.cullen@afcdiamonds.com and we will ensure every penny goes to Sam.
