AFC Rushden & Diamonds would like to provide an update to supporters on player movements and player availability ahead of tomorrow’s fixture at Hayden Road against Mickleover in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central.
Courtney Lashley has returned to the Club following his loan spell at Wellingborough Town. Courtney will now move to fellow United Counties League Premier Division South side Desborough Town on a dual-registration basis for the remainder of the season and leaves with our best wishes.
Luca Doorbar-Baptist has informed the Club that he is going to be taking a break from football and will no longer be part of the squad going forward. Luca joined the Club in January on a dual-registration basis from Peterborough Sports and made 4 appearances for the Diamonds. We wish Luca well for the future.
Goalkeeper Loris Marcimain returned to St. Albans City ahead of last Saturday’s fixture against Nuneaton Borough, following the return to fitness of Dean Snedker. Loris made quite the impact at the Club during his short 3-game spell and remains dual-registered with the Club, should his services be required again this season. We thank Loris for his efforts at the Diamonds.
The dual-registration of Diadier Camara, who is yet to feature for the Club, has been cancelled. As mentioned upon Diadier’s signing from Peterborough Sports, the intention was never for him to become immediately available to the Club. Circumstances have prevented him playing for the Diamonds at all and as a result, the dual-registration is no longer required.
Ahead of tomorrow’s fixture against Mickleover, the Club would like to advise supporters that Charlie Pattison will be serving the first of a 2-game suspension for picking up 10 bookings this season, accumulated both here with us and at his previous club. Likewise Ryan Hughes is expected to be absent for a while with a recurrence of the hamstring injury which kept him out for a period of time in January and February, picked up in last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at Nuneaton.
