After expecting to entertain Northampton Spencer in the Northants Senior Youth League this Thursday, AFC Diamonds instead find themselves playing in the second round of the NFA Boys Under 18 Cup against Duston Dynamo Youth. Duston have been drawn at home, but for logistical reasons it has been agreed by both clubs to move the fixture to Kiln Park. After a relatively easy victory over an Under 17 Wellingborough Vicarage Farm side in the first round, The Diamonds can expect a much sterner test in Duston who won their first round game 9-1 against Northampton Moulton Fields and can count a number of players from UCL clubs amongst their ranks. The Northampton side play in the Countywide Under 18 League, a sunday competition, and currently sit 3rd in the table with three wins, a draw and a loss after this weekend’s 5-0 demolition of Irchester United at Alfred Street. As Duston play in Orange and Black, AFC Diamonds will be able to wear their white home strip. The full draw for the second round is as follows:
